I couldn't find threads regarding this. I read some initial reports that it was doing some bad things to some iphones. Should I update or wait for 4.1?

I'm not updating just because I think it's pointless as it just fixes the bars. I figure I can just update to 4.1 and it will take care of it. I'm not worried about unlocking as they will have an unlock for the updated baseband in the future.

I updated my 3GS on the day the new OS was released. Didn't have any issues at all doing so, and my iPhone still performs the same on AT&T's network. :)

I did it screwed my WiFi connections and now where I had perfect WiFi at home, I am lucky to get 3 bars. There is no way to undo the patch, and pretty soon Apple will force it down everyone's throat when they patch it all with 4.1 or something like that.

I hadn't planned on it, but I did hoping it would fix my various push problems, but it didn't.

I waited, and updated today. No issues, other than the fact that I had to disable anti-virus and firewall temporarily to do it.

No way.

Will wait for something significant & for everyone else to test drive it.

I updated and can no longer get 5 bars on my phone, only 4. Before 4.0.1 I got 5 bars all the time, I guess their formula was messed up. It's a stupid update, wish I didn't update to it.
