4.0.1. didn't update the baseband, right? All it did update was just the "software/OS"?

Not yet....waiting for the Dev-Team JB.

It's coming this weekend...I can feel it...

I decided not to upgrade because my iPhone 4 is problem free and to avoid the issues some have experienced upgrading to 4.0.1. Will wait for 4.1 to push then reevaluate.

I upgraded two phones. One ip4 upgraded effortlessly. Wife's ip4 bricked! Spent the night troubleshooting, then finally made a Genius appt. at a local Applestore next morning. Wife's ip4 was replaced by one that came in a black box. At home the upgrade was successful.

software update

I have an iphone 3GS and I've recently updated the software to 4.0. As soon as this was done, my phone started switching off (restarts automatically) in the middle of telephone conversations longer than 5 mins. Certain applications no longer work properly and kick me out immediately or, if I'm playing a game, at the beginning or end of the game. I've updated to 4.0.1 and it's still the same.

Restore the phone and if that doesn't work go to an Apple Store.

4.0.1 has solved any slight signal problems i did have. I don't even notice there is a problem now. I do not use a bumper. Although I have claimed a free one.
