Seeing that the date changed, and the time for clearance has stayed the same...I'm thinking that Fed Ex messed up when updating the tracking. I have a feeling that this thing is already on a plane and possibly already in the US...

Because my Delivery Date is August 16 at 10:30 AM, and the last time this was updated was today..soo I'm curious.

What do you think?

When my MBA shipped last week, it didn't arrive in Anchorage until the day prior to delivery in NC and stayed in clearing in China for an extended period of time before that. I thought there was no way it would arrive on promised date but it came precisely as promised. I wouldn't worry unless it doesn't arrive tomorrow as scheduled.:) Even then, mine was promised delivery in 8-10 days which gives them some leeway.

Probably unrelated, but my pool pump that is shipped with FedEx had abnormal tracking status today. It said it would be delivered today, then was never out for delivery. Now, it doesn't show a delivery date. Could be something wrong with their tracking system...or maybe it's just a coincidence.

The tracking for my MBP looks exactly the same. I was afraid it was hung up in customs in Shanghai so I called 1-800-FEDEX and the automated tracking info told me it was actually on it's way to my local FedEx facility.

I'm having the exact same problem, and I mean exactly! My rMBP is scheduled for delivery tomorrow by 10:30am, and it's been stuck on "Clearance in progress" in Shanghai since 10:00 this morning.

I'm really hoping it comes tomorrow considering the email I got from Apple had it scheduled for delivery on the 17th. I guess we'll find out tomorrow...

Well, just got off the phone with a FedEx rep and he confirmed that the package is in fact, still in China...:(

Hope the rest of you have better luck than I did. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'm in the same boat. My Retina MacBook Pro shipped Aug 14 from Shanghai, and as of today, 3 days later, it has just left Shanghai after being "Clearance in Progress" twice.

Makes no sense. I paid for expedited shipping and the tracking info said it should be here by today, yet it just left Shanghai hours ago.

Wonder if tomorrow is a possibility.

We must be in the same batch because that's exactly what happened to me. And I too paid for the expedited shipping. Though, both fedex.com and 1-800-GOFEDEX claimed it would be here by 10:30 today. Finally at 10:30 the website updated and there's no delivery date posted at all...

I currently have a representative assisting me through email. Hopefully she comes back with some good news.

My Response from FedEx:

"Thank you for responding to my offer to help via Twitter. Please accept my unreserved apology for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused you. I am happy to assist you with your concern.

I have researched your tracking number, XXXXXXXXXXXX, which was shipped via our International Priority service. My records show a trace was initiated this morning. A trace agent will be in contact with you soon.

I apologize, your package was scheduled to deliver today, August 16, no later than 10:30 AM. Your shipment cleared customs and was released last night. It is in transit from Shanghai and is scheduled to arrive at our next sorting location in Anchorage, AK. I'm sorry, the earliest your package will arrive is Friday, August 17, pending there are no further clearance delays. Your shipment requires an Indirect Signature. Your may leave a signed and dated note on your door authorizing the courier to release your package.

I hope this information is helpful. I will continue to monitor your shipment until delivery is complete.

Best regards,

FedExGracie "

So there was a customs delay in China I guess...

I called Apple and got my refund for 2-3 day shipping, I LOVE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. lol

It's in transit from china now, should be here monday morning. Exciteddddd

I recommend anyone who paid for better shipping to contact apple and they'll return the credit to your credit card or apple account.

[doublepost=1468869536][/doublepost]I am new to this site. I am going through same thing, site says its still in China, 800gofedex says its on its way to local facility. So I would like to ask you if your package did indeed show up that day or was the website correct and your package was delayed.

Welcome! Unfortunately that poster hasn't logged in since 2012 (the day they wrote that post), so you have about a 0% chance of getting an answer from him/her. Just thought I'd let you know.
