Hello all. I'm a long time reader but first time poster. I have a question about an iPhone 5 I just got.
So, I used the online reservation system to pick up an iPhone 5 that was supposed to be an added/new line to my Verizon account. I picked it up yesterday morning and all went well.
Here's the thing. The reason why I added this line was to get the phone, activate it, transfer it to one of my existing 4 lines, and terminate the new line that the iPhone came with and pay the ETF.
However, at the Apple Store, the phone was never opened. When I bought my other iPhone 5 on release day, it was at the Verizon Store, and the rep opened it and activated it before I left. This time it was left up to me.
So I went home, got a new nano SIM for the existing line that I've had since last year, and the Verizon store rep phone activated the phone quickly and it is working right now.
My issue is this - there is no new line on my account whatsoever. No indication that I added another line. It just shows that two of my existing lines are now running on iPhone 5's. The Verizon rep at the store didn't mention anything about the line when activating the phone, so I'm lost.
Anybody have a similar experience? What should I do? I obviously don't want or need the line but I feel like I cheated something and I don't want to pay some huge fine.
