School heating sucks though
It's either freezing cold or blazing hot depending on the day. Sometimes some parts of the school are freezing while other parts suck.
The heat often breaks in the science wing and media center. One day the air temperature reached 86 degrees this year. Last year it was over 90 one winter morning.
In an era of rising fuel prices and dwindling resources, it is quite sad to see teacher frequently opening windows to let out the heat on a winter day.
Speaking of windows my school is horrible in that respect too. They are these large, glass windows that push open on the bottom... which doesn't really accomplish anything. Hot air stays in the room, cold air if anything leaks out, there is no airflow, occasionally birds find there way in but not out, and they act like a greenhouse. Very Very Very frustrating towards the end of school and the beginning when its hot outside.
