EVT = Engineering Validation Test in manufacturing... done early before mass production begins.

What does your Settings > General > About > MagSafe Battery Pack say for "Hardware Version"?

Those are definitely reserved letters that nobody would use for manufacturing - may have been a mistake that nobody updated that field prior to mass production.

At least I'm not the only one!
Mine clearly does not have that. Must be prototype

Did you remove the serial number before posting, or is that line actually blank? If it’s actually blank, I would think that could lean toward you actually having an EVT unit vs that field not being properly updated before release. Though that’s just my 2¢…no actual insight.

I removed the serial... it's not blank.

Looks like not an anomaly. That hardware version probably wasn’t set in the factory. Guess we’ll see if some mysterious firmware update for the battery pack fixes it.
Maybe the EU gets this? I"m in the US and I only see 3 info's not the other ones like the one you posted.

Ordered mine from Apple in US and mine says EVT2

Same here, bought from Apple Germany.

I've also found out there are battery packs with:

  • Firmware Version: 2.5.b.0
  • Hardware Version: 1.0.0
And, that there's a firmware update to 2.5.11.0 out. But my EVT2 model still has 2.0.2c.0 and doesn't want to update, it seems.
