How is it possible to update the Magsafe Batterie? Battery on the iPhone and cable from the battery to the AC adapter?

My wired MagSafe charger updated by just charging my phone with it. Took 2 nights, though.

I guess for the battery it's similar. Just have it attached to your phone and maybe one of both connected via Lightning to power.

Maybe the EU gets this? I"m in the US and I only see 3 info's not the other ones like the one you posted.
The hardware version and serial number only show up a minute after attaching the battery. Same for the MagSafe charger.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? mine still shows firmware version 2.0.2c.0 and hardware version EVT2?

When checking the values for my 2.0.2c.0 / EVT2 a week ago, it suddenly was updated and is now showing 2.5.b.0 / 1.0.0 . Incidentally, b = 11 in hexadecimal. So I guess it's now at 2.5.11.0, i.e. the latest version.

So just use it for charging your phone and it'll update eventually.

Aha! So the 2.5.b.0 firmware fixes the hardware version field to display "1.0.0" instead of "EVT2" and there's only 1 true hardware version. Good to know.

All you need to do is to connect the MagSafe Battery Pack to your Mac via USB-C to Lightning cable and leave it connected for a few minutes. Make sure you are on the latest macOS, it will automatically update the firmware.
