I bought a macbook pro 2011 15" from a dude on Craigslist. Picture attached. I never owned a mac before, and I thought it was okay, but in retrospect was I sold some knockoff? The shift and enter key are annoyingly far on the edges.

Hmm... I would caution you against buying used if you're unfamiliar with them. The 2011 models were notoriously unreliable. I hope this was at least cheap.

This is the "US international" keyboard variant. We have plenty of these boxes. You get one extra "paragraph" key compared to the "US" version.

An Apple look-alike hardware that also runs Mac OS? That seems very unlikely.

as others have said, seems like you have an international keyboard on that MB. It’s a legitimate apple product configured for international use.

Sometimes a Spammer will reply to a long dead thread, then after the Mods clean up the mess the thread's still showing recent.
I think the weird thing is last night and today there have been several of these old posts have been brought back up, and the users commenting on the threads are new users. I can see one or two popping up, but not the 5-6 that I have seen today.
