Do you need it now? If so; then buy it now.

The rumored update is very uncertain save for the platform update to Ivy Bridge, and since the first batches of Ivy Bridge runs at the same TDP as the current Sandy Bridge, I see no real reason for waiting unless you really need as much CPU power as possible.

I would return the MBP and wait for the new MBP released since it will be a improvement.

OP buys MBP to install windows on it so he can game.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

/end Sarcasm.

Maybe you should have bought some other High-end model.

I disagree. The G84 was a major f-up, but nVidia's mobile GPUs are solid otherwise.

Bro - you're running a PC based on your signature thus you have no idea what the situation is like when it comes to nVidia with Mac OS X. As much as Mac fanboys love to claim that Apple 'control the complete widget' the simple fact of the matter is that Apple is just as dependent on nVidia for their drivers as Microsoft is. Benchmarks time and time again demonstrate the reliability, performance and other metrics when it comes to the nVidia drivers on Mac OS X are severely lacking when compared to similar AMD GPU's with the drivers AMD provide. nVidia may or may not be great on Windows for all I know but we're not talking about that, we're talking about nVidia support in Mac OS X and I think that the various fiascos ranging from hardware failure (G48), poor performance (nVidia drivers) and iffy reliability (problematic switching between two nVidia GPU's) it is something I wouldn't want to risk if I was going to plonk down on the table a few thousand for a laptop, desktop or workstation.
