Hey,

so to my surprise, my freshly set up and just couple of weeks old Touchbar Macbook Pro 13" running 10.12.2 suddenly told me, my SSD was almost full.

  1. Using Grand Perspective I found out, there were enormous amounts of GB reserved by "com.apple.bird"
  2. Googling that lead me to turning iCloud Drive sync off and on again. Helped with com.apple.bird but...
  3. It was now followed by a "bird" process clogging my CPU forever (literally, I kept the computer running for two days & nights straight). Turned iCloud Drive sync off and on again, reset PRAM and SMC.

Now the iCloud Drive folder won't do a full sync anymore. Some files just say "File cannot be opened" even though they are there and functional when I check in the iCloud web interface.

Any ideas what I could do to get back to normal and full sync?

I don't even know why the com.apple.bird thing happened in the first place...

Thanks in advance!!
Alex
