DID i *******up my Mac?

So i am just installing Mac Tiger on my Emac...and i have the 4cds from the apple store...then i was starting to install and it never said "upgrade" "archieve"
"erase and install" and the only thing I could do was hit continue and next..there was no options..i think it said upgrade in the corner and thats it? did I loose my files? is my computer ******? and if it was an upgrade will everything still work like ms office, and itunes etc?

edit im going from 10.2.8 to 10.4

now it said installation complete? and it rebooted?

Well, the damage is done, so to speak, if you say it finished and rebooted. Log on and check your hard drive and see if your files are still there.

i had to put in cd 2..now its been stuck at like the last 5% for 5minutes

installation "less then a minute"
