I did not believe I was using iCloud on my iMac or my M1 mac mini before Ventura. Now I get an email telling me that I have 300+ photos in iCloud and both computers are telling me to accept the new terms and conditions to use iCloud. I don't want to use iCloud and I want to make sure it is turned off. I also want to make sure I have nothing stored on iCloud. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Stephen NG0G

Does anyone know how to completely disengage my iMac and M1 mac-mini from iCloud? Accepting the terms and conditions seems to want to set me up for iCloud.

Sign out of your Apple ID

Settings > your name Apple ID scroll to bottom of window....Sign Out.

That signs you out completely. If you want to be selective click on "iCloud" in same window and turn off the features you don't want.

You can prevent the accidental use of iCloud with a profile that restricts it.
MDM restrictions for Mac computers https://support.apple.com/guide/deployment/restrictions-for-mac-depba790e53/1/web/1.0
Profiles can be created with:
