The screen has all these pale diagonals boxes/lines. Now when I turn it on it's just a blank screen with these diagonals. I think it crashed. Here's a picture of what my screen looks like:

Can someone please tell me what's going on or how to fix it? I'm out of the country right now on an internship, so there's no way I can get to an Apple store. It is a MacBook Pro by the way. Thanks for the help.

I would try booting from a Mac OS X DVD or a bootable external copy. I still feel it is a hardware issue though.

If that comes up immediately before anything has a chance to boot, you likely have a bad logic board. If the machine uses main memory as graphics memory, it's theoretically possible it could be bad RAM, but it's more likely to be a bad logic board.

So does that mean I'll loose everything on my computer? Like all the files and things?
