Did Safari get updated?

My Safari just randomly closed and reboot with an update message.

I was not implying that.
I presumed Apple managed to deliver the updates to everyone by now.
Especially the 2021-008 Security Update “A malicious application may bypass Gatekeeper checks” https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212981

I know. Sorry if it sounded defensive. It was more a statement to myself.
I don’t understand why it took so long for this update to be delivered to me.

I thought maybe the OP experienced the same, but then again probably not as I have never seen Safari spontaneously closing and “reboot with an upgrade message”, as he puts it.

i installed safari 15,? with a fresh catalina install an hour ago, then got that promo to upgrade to 15.2
if this helps
