Has anyone else noticed a change in Transparency mode with their Airpods Pro? In the last couple of weeks it seems to be blocking out more noise than it did before in a bad way for me. For instance I frequently wear them around the house listening to podcasts if I'm cooking or cleaning etc and in the past had no problem understand when someone was talking to me but now it seems more muffled. I'm not sure if this started with the 26.3 or 26.4 public beta.

Doh! I just noticed Conversation Awareness was turned off. It must have gotten reset after one of the updates. Hopefully that's all it was.

Double Doh - conversation awareness has nothing to do with this (i guess I never had it on...didn't even realize what it does which is totally annoying hahhahaha). Transparency mode is totally broken for me now. Feels so much more muted.

Again...is anyone else experiencing this??

In case anyone else stumbles upon this, I tried doing apple's airpod cleaning instructions and things didn't improve, so I went to the genius bar where they ran a test then just replaced them (not the case). I pay for applecare on the airpods since it's so cheap so this was "free." And indeed mine were bad...these sound back to normal and clear in transparency mode.

Ah bugger, mine have started doing this but I don't have apple care on them
Oh sorry to hear that! I'm not sure how much the repair would have cost otherwise. Applecare is like $20 a year for them so it's the only thing I've ever done applecare for, and I've ended up using it multiple times for various issues. I feel like they take a beating more than any other apple product I own.
