Did the first gen MacBook Airs (2008) come with optical drives?

I am trying to see if Apple will include optical drives in the rumored 15" Airs. If it was possible to include it originally in the Air form factor, maybe they will include it in the 15" Air to give it a 'Pro' status per se.

No I had the first gen Macbook Air and it was never included! You had to buy it separately.

It wont be in any air model, if they do make a 15" one it wont be in it, but they may make a slimmer 15" MBP with one probably between the thickness or the air and the current pro. You will never see a MBA of any size with an optical drive, they would put a bigger battery in it way before they would put a optical drive

Yeap and What I learn with Apple is never go all out on a product on the first gen cuz things wil go down and cheaper. I paid my max out first gen air with 64GB ssd over $2500 :mad: Now I'm barely rocking the 11" base model from 2010 lol
