Haha some great replies here ok i agree Apple-Care is better than most warranty programs and not just a tax on people who don't know how to use a computer also i guess i was going a bit too far when i said "fleeced" and "hell no" i was just trying to be funny there, although that really was not the main point of the thread. You guys actually pushed me towards Apple-care maybe i will consider it around the end of my 1 year period. It just feels like apple making you pay more for giving you a faulty product. Let me ask you, would apple care cover you if the failure was your fault? Like if you dropped it or spilled liquid on to it. I doubt it. An insurance policy is a gamble on something happening wrong but this just feels like a gamble on apple getting something wrong. I'm of the side whose never smashed an iphone/smart phone screen or even a macbook screen, i give quite an effort to be careful. So i'd be a bit annoyed for having to pay for insurance just because i don't trust apple but still having to be extremely careful.
But you know thinking of it differently on the chance i guess you could still get value from it if you did something wrong maybe you can get what a 30% discount on user fault repairs. Also i know the parts are more than likely to be extremely expensive and installation is so hard i'd probably pay an arm and a foot just for installation alone. So basically yeah i agree Apple-Care is worth it considering how much you guys alone love it. I was wrong for shutting it down just because i've never needed it. This is not the point of the thread though, i probably should have not mentioned it but it was like one sentence lol.
