When an iOS update is done on a device that has black bezels, the update background will be black and the Apple and the update progress bar will be white? Whereas, when the bezels are white, the update background will be white and the Apple and the update bar will be black? That’s attention to detail

I was wondering the other day if they might take advantage of the fact the OS knows what color the device is to blend the notch appropriately on the new phone. Probably not though.

I thought it’s been this way since the white iPhone released? Well I’m not sure about the updating, but the boot logo and such.

There wasn’t a white phone until the iphone 4 and even then so late in the cycle it might has well have been the 4s.

My battery died on my gold 6s once and when I tried to boot it up it gave me the black background with the white apple logo.

It's been like that since iOS 7 and the iPhone 5. And no, the iPhone 4s still display the black boot logo even if it's a white model.
