Hi there,

Did you ever used a crack to play games? We did. But we also bought games. We did used cracks to see if it will run on our PCs because for example back in the 90s and early 2000 years it wasn't easy to find out if a specific game will run great. That's because the demos ran well, but not the full version, so we also shared full versions and when we saw it runs perfectly then we bought the game. I still own the original Need For Speed II SE CD ROM.

For example, some games cost around 100 DM back then and investing so much money for a game that won't run, is too much! Then borrow it from a "Videothek" and testing it or to borrow it from a friend.

Today cracks doesn't make any sense anymore because most of them are viruses or malware, you have to permanently download the newest crack after some updates for the game and the most biggest reason: it still doesn't make any sense anymore because games get more cheaper and work with most hardware seamlessly.

And: we honestly don't want to betray someone for his work! For example we did bought games from Apogee Software as original! Like Hocus Pocus, Duke Nukem 2 and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure.

The problem is that here in Germany you can't get some titles, like Doom or Blake Stone, when they are on the "index". In early catalogues from Apogee you saw "Blake Stone", but in the newest you only saw "XXXXXX XXXXX". Nobody understood this.

Just one thing. Cracks aren't useful today and betrays the author of the work. But I have to add that today's software is programmed much more fair than in early days.

Of course I do. Here in Latam it was very hard to buy games the easy way. Also, I was just a kid back then so, no money.

It have been like 9 years since I got a job and also, it is much more easy now to buy games than before so I changed a lot of my methodology to get games.

Now I usually wait for a good sale and just buy the game or just buy a subscription like Game pass (when I had an Xbox) and now the PS Plus. I play on steam but not that much to be honest. Now I'm playing Helldivers 2 so, it takes a lot of my reduced time to play.

In relation with the cracked games, yeah. I have an Oled/Lite Switches that are modded so, cracked games there. In PC is less common to get pirated games since I don't play there that much (my main place is the PS5 now) but recently I downloaded RE Requiem cracked and works perfectly on my 9060XT.

I see this more as the movie/series/music thing. Before it was much more harder to get a movie but now, you have Netflix and Spotify. There are still people that find things for free but it is undeniably that these services make your life easier. But of course, not all its pink color in this world we live. You own nothing.

So yes, I will use cracked games but I also buy my games
