Did you get the SanDisk 256GB SSD or the Samsung 256 GB SSD?

    There are two versions of the 256 GB SSD. If you go to about this mac, more info, and look under drives it will say either SMXXXX or SDXXXXX where the X's are numbers.

    SM is samsung and SD is SandDisk.

    There's really no difference. I made this video to show that it's basically the same for everyday use.

    On the right is my 2.6 GHz, 8GB RAM , SanDisk 256 GB SSD

    On the left is my friend's 2.6 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB Samsung SSD

    Are you talking about the factory installed PCIe SSD in the MP6,1 ?

    ^^^^Yes, Apple uses multiple suppliers for many of it's internal components in the nMP and MacBooks.
