Did you buy a 13” or 15” MBA?

I started with a 13" but returned it during the return window for the 15" MBA. I much prefer the 15" version. It is not that much heavier and fits in my backpack easily when I need to take it on the go. The screen is just much easier to see things especially if I have two apps open multitasking. Got the 15" on a pretty nice sale so it was only $50 more than the retail price of the 13". Win win in my book

No same according to Apple.

13.6-inch or 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display

Apple M2 or M3 chip

8GB to 24GB unified memory

256GB to 2TB storage

Up to 18 hours battery life

Touch ID

I might go for the 15’ if Apple puts OLED in it. But this will never happen as the Pro line will get this display from the iPad.

According to apple but don’t real life numbers reflect a bit of a boost?

15 inch. The 13 airs are a bit too small. I've also tried the 14 and 16 Pros. The 14 is also nice that'd be my second place preference, but the 15 inch's screen is noticeably bigger. The 16 doesn't feel much larger than the 15 Air and the thickness and how far the keyboard palm rests stick out make it much more uncomfortable than the 15 inch Air.

Best Buy is having a sale and I am in my return window. Buyers remorse for someone with anxiety really stinks. Got this 15 MBA M3 8/256 for $1099. Best Buy has a sale and the 13" M3 MBA 16/512 is $1249. For for $150 I could get double the ram and ssd but smaller screen.....ugh decisions

why not the screen size AND specs you want? even if that adds another $150 on top of it or whatever. in the long run, buy once cry once if you think you need it

I always swing base models because Im cheap :D

Yeah the 15" M3 16/512 is on sale for $1499 so it would be $400. I am also cheap, that is half my problem. One half my brain says get 16gb and keep this machine for years and years. The other half of my brain says" I know you already you fool, you'll want shiny and new in a year or two🤣

I probably truly don't need 16gb for my light use case. Mainly web browsing and such. I somehow feel 512 ssd would not be used, its the memory that intrigues me

yeah I think you'd miss the 15 inch screen for more ram though. unless really set on the 13 inch
You are most likely right. I do love this 15" screen. Might seem crazy from a guy but I also love the Starlight color. Best Buy around here only sells the upgraded models in Midnight, so any other color has to be ordered(I'm impatient also) I also realize I could order just the 16/256 from Apple, but my money is already tied up at Best Buy. I paid with a mix of gift cards from birthday and two different credit cards, so would be a hassle to process the returns on all those different forms of payment. At least if I just stuck with Best Buy and upgraded it would be just an exchange and I'd have to pay the difference.

Would be nice if Best Buy had the option of buying/ordering the 16/256 variant, but no such luck

the other thing is quality control

the screen, feel of keyboard and even trackpad will prolly be a bit of a crapshoot

Ha, I got the 512/16GB on the 15 inch but worth it for me. I will say this, I'm quite tall, so the 15 inch makes me hunch significantly less than the 13 inch, it's just more comfortable in every way including screen size, fitting two windows, etc.

I seriously may just swap this out for a 15" 16/512. Now the decision will be to take delivery of the in stock Midnight, or order another color and wait for it to be delivered

The 13” 16/512 flys, faster than my 24” M1 8/512 iMac.
Glad I didn’t get base model.

I got a 15" Air to replace my 14" Pro and after months of owning, I still don't regret my decisions. It boils down to these key points: screen size, weight, fan (or lack thereof) and heat.

If Apple was selling a 17" Air, I would have bought that instead.

"Point of an Air is small, light, portable"?
I respectfully disagree. Point of an "air" device is to just simply be lighter than other lines (Pro?). It does not have to be smaller or more portable. Otherwise why not call the iPhone Mini or the iPad Mini just iPhone Air and iPad Air?
Great take..meanwhile the iPad Air is thicker and heavier than the iPad Pro LMAO barely, but still is...

15" is way too cumbersome to carry.
thats your opinion.

my opinion is this. i'm enjoying the 15" Air. i had the 13" M1 Air, 14" M1 Pro and now the 15" Air. i'm enjoying the 15" air most.

MacOS is my main OS for all things pple and my personal life. I run parallels for work and use that for Power BI and Tableau.

my 15" air is 24gb\1tb
