After the forum collectively bemoaned the $349+ price of the Watch, the $200++ premium in the resale market is a bit of an indicator of impulsive demand but not surprising. If you paid an eBay/Craigslist premium for your Watch, was it worth it to have the Watch a few weeks earlier than otherwise? Having a Watch now I couldn't imagine paying over $399 unless the $599 model has some amazing upgraded features over the Sport in a future gen.

Sold my stainless steel, made 100 dollars, bought a sport on CL for $70 more than I would have if I waited for my July order. Definitely worth it in my experience and I still made 30 dollars overall.

pretty sure this question isnt for your situation. You got the watch directly from Apple. "How" you got the other watch is pretty irrelevant since you were able to get one from the store so fast

Pretty sure the question was who bought one through EBay or CL so seeing how the second watch I bought was through CL this question does apply to me. Doesn't matter if I got a watch through Apple beforehand or not.

I found a private party listing 3 days after release on CL for the amount they paid online. So I paid $370. It's a 38mm Sport w/ Green band. The lady played with it but found it to be too "Childish" (Her words).
FYI: This one is my sons. I'm waiting to pick one up in-store when that day comes.

I'm happy I waited he amount of time I did for mine. I put in the work, stayed up till 3 AM that morning to grab a shot, it arrived within the first 2 weeks as promised and I paid the correct price. I'm happy I stepped it up to the stainless steel, it easily competes with 'higher end' watches at this price point if not beyond. I would feel dumb paying a premium for something that will be in stores soon.

the watch isn't even worth the price from apple, so any sucker who pays a premium off craigslist/ebay is just that.. a sucker

including the guy that i made $120 off of

most people that bought if off a 3rd party did so because they were able to get it "now" as opposed to waiting. its completely different. He wants to know if buying it "now" for a higher price was worth it to them. Not buying it, selling it, a making money off it, and buying it again

I was on the other end, Sold my milanese 42 for $1200 the day after I got it. Wife told me if i did, I could order the SBSS. So I did.
Its been REALLY tough. Met a few people who have them and keep telling them, I was there, preorder @ 3am... but until my SBSS ships in July, its
So once July rolls around, it will be worth it, but by the time ebay and Paypal had their way, honestly, I dont think I woulda done it the same.

I got a 42mm Apple Watch Sport (White) off of Craig's List. It was originally listed for 600. I paid 550.00 for the watch. It did come with Apple Care +, so with taxes for my area, I only paid about an extra 50.00 for the watch and got it right away.
