did you trade in your old iphone?

$125 for my daughter's 8gb 4 at Apple store. I took it, don't have the time or energy to deal with the eBay and CL nonsense for maybe $50 extra bucks.

did anyone here trade in their old iphone today?

i was curious to see what value people were getting at the apple store for them.

Apple offered me $253 for my white 64GB iPhone 5. Just sold it on craigslist for $450. Probably could have gotten more, but wanted a fast sale.

I'm normally really paranoid with Craigslist (I've had horrible experiences with it), but I sold my iPhone 5 32GB the day before the 5S came out for $420. Smoothest sale I've made. I'd probably sell on there again. Just be careful and meet the person in a public place.

Anyone try next worth? They are giving additional 10%. I got my iPhone 5 64gb Verizon quote at 407. Not bad if they are legit.

Best Buy Mobile gave me $360 for my iPhone 5 32GB Black AT&T. This way I don't have to deal with the hassle of ebay or craigslist.

Traded in both my and my wife's 4s and apple store gave me $225 for each one. Very happy with that so it was a done deal.

Planning on trading my 5s next year to do an early upgrade with AT&T to get the next one.

What capacity were the 4Ss you traded in?

Verizon offered me $210 for my 4S so I took it. They were going for around 250/300 on eBay but that's a gamble. Plus they take a 10% cut, which is another 20 to 30 dollar loss. I'm happy with $210.

Keeping my 64GB iPhone 4S because I have over 1000 songs on it and it still fits my speaker dock because of the connector. I can plug it in and listen to music when I work out at home. Why spend money on a connector when I can still use my old phone for music?

Best Buy gave me $225 for my perfect condition 32gb 4s. I walked out with a 32gb 5s, new case, and screen protector for $150 out of pocket. Happy.

I still have my old 3gs that I use on a speaker dock in my kitchen. It's only 16gb, but it's good to go with Match.

What capacity were the 4Ss you traded in?

Both 16gb AT&T, 1 Black & 1 White.

Both had a screen protector front and back since day one and when I peeled them off in the store so they could inspect them they were flawless front and back.

not me personally but i hear stories everyday of botched sales going wrong in my area. counterfeit money even in same cases. I'm good. I always gave my old devices away anyway.

CL is full of flaky people. My wife sells stuff on CL but always has to deal with people failing to do what they say or agreeing to a price and bringing less money when it comes time to meet

Better then Gazelle prices

I was going to use gazelle for trading in my phone but did some shopping around and price comparing for some of the mail in trade sites and www.exchangeit.us offered me more. I think market prices change allot so it is worth the time to look around and do some price comparisons. As far as local trade in stores around you hometown most of them offer so little that its not worth the trip. Ebay is pretty nice but people forget that they take out 10% fee from you sale and then 2.9% fee is you use paypal..

$215 for a 16GB 4S from a Best Buy in the Dallas area. It's more than I was expecting and it covered 2/3 of my upgrade cost. Not bad in my opinion.

Sold my 32GB 4S for $260 and got a 32GB 5S for $313.93

Why would anyone ever trade in their phones? You get so much more for it on craigslist.

Because you don't want to deal with the idiots that respond to CL postings. I had four people flake out on me in a 24 hour span. These are people who I spent quite a bit of time going back and forth with negotiating price and agreeing on when and where to meet. Then I would text them before heading out to meet them to confirm everything just to have them change their mind or just fall off the face of the earth. All for $50 more than what Gazelle was offering for my old 4. Not worth the time and aggravation in my opinion.

I had an iPhone f5 and I traded mine in at the AT&T store and received a $320 value. Mine was the white 64 gig model

Wow... I got 340 for mine at AT&T. Was yours scratched?

I'd rather take the hit on the trade and not deal with CL lunatics.

I think of the time investment and whether it's worth mine. No. It isn't.

I traded in my 5C for the 5S Sunday. Now that Target has the gold 5S in stock I'm going to exchange my Space Grey for it.

ive used CL alot. IMO its hit and miss. always meet in a public place. i always choose a busy starbucks during the day. i show them the phone works with my sim card.

i just sold my 5 32 g for $475 and 4s 16g for $300.

be patient and you'll eventually get someone who is serious and will pay a reasonable price. use ebay to guide you on how much to ask for and take 10% off that for ebay fees and you should have a good idea of what market value is.
