Did YouTube Apple TV app just get rounded corners?

Am I going crazy or has the YouTube Apple TV app been updated so its video thumbnails in the app have rounded corners now? Thumbnails were a square before, right?

I very rarely use the YouTube app in Apple TV, much prefer the one built into the TV for some reason. But I did briefly go on it today and I think you are right…

The app has updated on all the ATV’s in our house but only seeing this UI on one of them.
 
Yep, it is amazing that the apps simply work on my Sony TV with AndroidTV and on my Fire TV Cube 3rd gen, but are such garbage on my ATV 4K. Apple keeps changing tvOS and the app writers are rarely able to keep their apps running correctly due to the constant changes. Plus tvOS is a buggy mess!

YouTube usually rolls out UI enhancements in the background in their ATV app. They don't need to actually update the ATV app to show the new UI changes. The rollout is probably happening gradually.
 
I have been fortunate and had zero problems with tvOS 16.1 on my 2nd Gen 4k. Peacock and HBO seem to have a lot of updates but they've worked well for me. I only use WiFi to stream from the Internet and my local NAS. I'll have to try out YouTube to play my Google library.

its an ongoing design trend in ui design

rounded to sharp, sharp to rounded, rounded to sharp, back to rounded
