Daughter wiped her phone clean (possibly before or after popping out the SIM) without turning off Find My Phone or anything else.

What can/should I do before putting in the return box?

TIA

Thanks!
Without me doing anything, the device doesn’t show up the iCloud find page, nor on my phone’s Find My App. Do you think that it may have wiped it without being told?

Definitely possible. Apple automates a lot of that stuff now. Either way if it shows back up you can remove it later from the web. That’s what happened to me. I sold a MacBook to apple and the store that got it asked me to remove it from find my. It worked after a few tries lol.
