iPad Difference between 12.9 and 10.5

Besides the screen size are there any major differences if any between the 12.9 and 10.5 iPads?
 
The 10.5 inch iPad will use iPhone-sized user interface for 50/50, whereas the 12.9 would be using iPad-sized User interface.
