difference between Macbook Pro CD and C2D

how can i tell the difference very quickly...my sisters friend has a 17" macbook pro for sale but he doesnt even know if its Core Duo or Core 2 Duo and im trying to explain to them thru the phone how to tell me which it is! 😕

Go to the apple icon in the upper left corner, and choose about this mac.

Macbook Pro CD has a little black dot next to the iSight camera.
Macbook Pro C2D does not have a little black dot next to the iSight camera.

system profiler in Applications-->Utilities, I believe. Sorry, no mac currently, or I'd check for you.

ask how long ago it was bought, because if it was bought before oct 30, there is no way that it is a new one..
