Ran Onyx and it said to start disk utility from the install disc for start up. Think this is the cause of my issues I was having with some glitches. But apple instructions say to just click first aid and select your volume. Mine says a couple things like 465.8 GB WDC WD5000 and Macintosh HD... I'm assuming the correct volume is just Macintosh HD right? And then it just says click repair, but which one... repair disk permissions or repair disk? Thanks

    First permissions, then disk.

It does not hurt the disk in any way anyway.
