Hello!

Apologies if this has been asked before however I am quite desperate.
I'm looking to buy a 15 inch macbook pro soon but can't decide between the two. If possible I would rather get the 15-inch: 2.2 GHz however the graphics are worrying me. Everything is fine for me on the 2.2ghz except the AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB GDDR5.

Is there much difference between AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB GDDR5 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1GB GDDR5? As in for gaming etc? Is there a huge amount of difference?

Because if not I will probably just opt for the 2.2ghz one.

Many thanks to any who can shed some light onto this for me :)

6770m is just a higher clocked version of the 6750m with more ram (512MB vs 1GB). thats it - everything else is the same. honestly, unless you are doing gaming all the time, i would stick with the $1799 mbp with the 6750m 512MB.

I was having the same concerns as the OP. I opted for the $1799 ($1709 @Best Buy) MBP with the 6750m 512MB. Will use the difference in price to help fund an upgrade to the ram and add an ssd. Have had this MBP for three days but no complaints yet!

Have you considered the high end early 2011 (2.2 and 1gb 6970M) instead of the low end late 2011?
