Hi, I'm looking for a western digital portable drive but they seem to have quite a few options. Whats the difference between Western digital My Passport Slim, WD Elements and WD My Passport Ultra ? All of them are 2 TB drives ..

I just bought 3 of the 1TB My Passport Ultra's from Amazon because they were at a good price... I've had their portable drives before and they've always lasted.. I use them mostly for sending files to friends.

Here is a good chart on Amazon that shows the difference. That hardware encryption mentioned is not supported on Macs, so just get whichever of the three is cheapest.

I don't see it in the specs, but I would bet money they are all 5400. Almost all these portable drives like this are 5400.

Assemble your own portable drive. You may need 2 free USB ports in your computer.
