It's a known bug, hopefully Apple will fix it at some point. Similar problems were also in Yosemite.

There is nothing wrong and this is by design. You have Time Machine turned on and you are using 24GB in that Backups section for Time Machine's local snapshots. That space is reported in Disk Util but not in Finder, hence the difference.
That Desktop icon is reporting the Finder total.
