Hey,

I'm buying a Macbook in a week or so (as soon as my work check clears). I'm just wondering how much of a performance difference there is between having 1 gigabyte of ram or having 2 gigabytes of ram.

Thanks in advance.

Entirely depends on the applications you intend to run. For anything other than light use, however, it's well worthwhile.

when i went from 1GB to 2.5GB everything seemed zippier...even with only light tasks. it even booted up faster. i didn't notice a change when i went from 2.5GB to 4GB, probably because i don't heavily multitask.
