Hey guys,

Does anyone know the difference between these markings on the ram?

10600s-9-10-fp - This is what was on the OEM RAM, Brand is hynix (2x2 = 4GB)
10600s-9-10-b1 - This is what is on my new ram (2x4 = 8GB)

The answer's in your own post. See the ends of each of the lines describing the RAM.

The answer is not in my own post at all. I am asking what the difference between the two is, I can clearly see that the last two digits are different, I am wondering what the difference is.

The difference is that one is double the size of the other 😀

I tried google but couldn't find anything that let me understand the different endings of the product codes.

I think your question was quite clear and so far no one was able to answer it. I guess it's either a code for OEM vs. end-user products, or the size in some hex format.

Yea, I tried googling it as well, came up trumps. Hopefully someone will have an answer, but its not a huge deal if not.

You asked this in your other thread... why did you start a new one? That's double-posting...

Its not double posting, If you have nothing helpful to add, please don't post. I knew my question would be lost in the other post since its not the main focus of the thread. So I decided to ask here, not against any rules.
