So I've been looking on swappa to buy a 6S and I'm noticing people asking if its a Verizon phone or an Unlocked phone. Is there a difference in the two models and do I need to be looking for a specific model? I will be using it with Verizon. Thanks to all for your help.

I have the Verizon 6s and I'm using with simple mobile. Some people will see a difference in an att unlocked phone vs one from Apple even though they are the same. It's just them.

Yes, there are differences, a Verizon model is already registered to Verizon and should work with Verizon as long as it has not been blacklisted based on it's ESN/IMEI/MEID. You will want use the Swapp Check https://swappa.com/esn to verify.

The SIM-Free and the AT&T / T-Mobile / Sprint units should work just fine but it may take a few tries to get a Verizon rep to register it to the network since it is not already whitelisted like a Verizon model would be.
