Hi guys,

I recently bought new EarPods from an Authorized Reseller and they are a bit different than the original I got with my iPhone. The cable is not rubberized but regular plastic, which is also more glossy. I have found out that the model is MD827ZM/B while the model they include in the box with iPhone is MD827ZM/A.

Is this the only difference? Are there any other? Or is the seller full of s**t and sells an earphones that are not authentic?

With regards to the model number, A is US version and B is UK version. No difference other than POS. They should be identical.

If they look different and feel different to yours, they're fake.

Every part seems genuine but the cable. I guess it would be an issue if an Authorized Reseller was selling fake accessories.
