I have an M1 mini with a U2718Q and a U2720Q. Both are 27 inch 4k monitors with differences in launch years. The U2720Q is a USB-C monitor while the U2718Q is a traditional DisplayPort/MiniDisplayPort/HDMI + USB 3 port hub monitor. The U2718Q has 4k and then 2K and then lower resolutions as you go down the 5 scaled resolutions. The U2720Q starts at 4k, then goes down to 3,008 x 1,692, then 2k and then lower resolutions.

I'm running Easyres to keep them at 3,008 x 1,692 outside of the business day. During business hours, I have them set to native resolution. Any reason why the different scaling resolutions and if there's an easy way to set them?

Sometimes the cabling plays a somewhat ambiguous role in how the computer sees a monitor. By way of example: I have a P2721Q, which won't sycn up at native res with my 2019 iMac at all, if its connected via a straight through USB-C cable from the Mac to the monitor; it uses some lower resolution -- though, I've since forgotten what that resolution was. However, it syncs perfectly at 4K if I put a USB-C to HDMI adapter in the back of the iMac and connect that to the monitor via a standard HDMI cable. o_O

So my suggestion is: swap the cables between your two monitors, and see what happens. If that changes the behavior of the displays, consider experimenting a bit further until you find the best mixture.

Thanks for replying.

The U2720Q is a USB-C monitor and the U2718Q is completely non-USB-C. I need both port hubs so I don't have a lot of options on which cables go to which monitor.
