I went to the Apple store today, and on the display models, when you press the home button, the screen does a dissolve to the home screen. Which is unlike the iPhone, which does the screen zoom transition when you press the home button.

On the Touch that I own, it does the screen zoom as well when you push the home key. I wonder why there is a difference between my iPod and the ones at the store?

Anyone else's Touch do either the Zoom or Dissolve transition only?

the one at the store has probably been on for 4 or 5 straight days. Unlike mac os x on my laptop, i dont have to restart, however, Ive noticed I have to restar my IPT QUIET frequently

thoughts?

What does it being on for 4-5 days have anything to do with it?

I'm talking about a dissolve to home screen versus a zoom to home screen. Two distinctively different transition.

The fact that the transitions are different doesn't concern me, I'm just curious to know if they were tweaking the Touch software while it was being shipped out to the stores!?
