Im somewhat new to mac so sorry for basic question: Are there different versions of Lion, meaning is it different for Air vs. iMac? I have a usb Lion drive I created when I upgraded my Air to Lion from the Apple store, is that the same version and can I use on my iMac to do a fresh install?

Theres only 1 version of lion, well sort of. Theres lion server and development (beta) versions but 99% of us run the same version of lion everyone runs.

Unlike previous OS X versions, Lion Server is now a set of applications that run on top of Lion, rather than a separate version.

There are, of course, updates (10.7.2 is current and 10.7.3 is in beta) but you can update the iMac after doing the install from your USB drive.

Lion is Lion BUT not every Mac can be run by every copy of Lion.

For example, what gets installed on your Air may not run your iMac and vice versa; they are different machines. So if you were to clone your Air it probably would not boot your iMac. So be careful. You'd need to do a separate installation or upgrade of Lion on the iMac, not just a clone or copy of Lion from the Air.
