The studio I'm working at is running Pro Tools 7.4.2 HD on a Mac Pro w/ Leopard.

For some reason, Digi Core Audio launches when Pro Tools is not running. If no applications are open, it still pops up every couple of minutes. Does anyone know why this is or what to do about it?

Thanks

If this is the same as other version of PT (with the exception of MBox), then it's there to allow the system sounds to play via the Digi box (assuming that's the way their system is setup), at least that's why mine pops open.

Actually, when PT is in action, the CoreAudio application isn't, because the device doesn't allow two simultaneous sources; you can't play say iTunes while working in PT, and why should you want too?
