A while ago I picked up a collection of PowerMacs to further repair and upgrade my main Powermac. The collection included two MDDs, two DAs, and one B&W. As I disassembled the two DA's, I noticed there was something odd - you see, for my main powermac I prefer to have a PSU pass-through (so you can chain the monitor without occupying another slot on your power strip), however, by looking at pictures online, I was led to believe the DA and beyond had reverted back to input-only PSU designs on the back. Or so I thought, because I found out that one of the DA PSU's actually had a pass-through, with the metal cage accomodating for it, but not the casing itself. Strange. Furthermore, the output-port was blocked by a sticker.

I checked both of the PSU's of the DA models and both model numbers are identical (so it wouldn't have been a transplant from a Sawtooth, I think?), however the revision number on the pass-through one has a handwritten "01" on it. As far as I could tell, the PSU's didn't seem internally modified, and they worked just fine. The Apple part number differs, though, and the serial number on the pass-through DA itself was manufactured later than the other one. So my conclusion is that this might have been a custom option when ordering? I'm really not sure. Any ideas?
