Digital camera connection

I am new to mac. Just bought white Macbook c2d. I am trying to import photos from my Kodak V603 through a Kodak camera dock but Iphoto doesn't recognize the dock. It only works when i connect usb cable directly to camera.

I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems with a Kodak dock and have found a solution. Thank you.

Hmm... that's rather odd as I was under the impression that the docks pretty much just pass the USB signal through. My father has used two different Kodak camera models with two different docks, and both worked without any issues at all.

Two questions: Do you have the dock plugged in to its power adapter (I think that's required), and are you remembering to push the "share" button on the dock after putting the camera on it? Nothing will happen until you push that.

If you've done both of those things, I can only assume that the dock is faulty--you'll probably have to call Kodak support for a replacement or whatever.
