Hi,
I remember reading (I have confirmed) that the iPad 2 has a Digital Compass built in. There's no built in app. So I downloaded one from the app store. I can't check the accuracy, I don't have a compass, oddly. I'm using "Compass HD). Can anyone see how accurate it is?
Can anyone explain why this wasn't a built in app, and why Google Maps and Earth won't accept it has a compass?
Just seems weird to me :/
Thanks,
Joseph Duffy

The iPad 2 indeed has a built in compass, but not the compass app as the iPad is too big to use on the fly unlike a smartphone. But you can use it in google maps if you press the location button a second time.

Oddly I had no idea it had a compass but I find it cool.
