I am looking for a digital crossover, it can be either software or hardware based, but I want it to be Mac-friendly. I would like to be able to control 3 pairs of outputs at least, crossover types (butterworth, L/R, etc.) and their slopes, use notch filters, and also offer time alignment.

I'd be using this both for building speakers and for using it as the crossover in the finished speakers. I'm shooting for an all active system and I'd much rather do this in the digital realm. The Behringer dcx2496 and the comparable dbx unit look fine, except their DACs and analog sections are questionable and the software for them is windows only. If I could find a software based one, I could use a MOTU or something for the DACs, or whatever else came down the pike in the future. Plus, if it is a software based design, there's hope that I could combine my musical source and the processor into one unit... Any ideas? With all of the amazing software out there for macs when it comes to creating music, I'm shocked at the dearth of software for audio purposes...
