Anyone know of OS X 10.5.2 compatible digital signage software? I am running a Samsung 40" connected via HDMI to a Mac mini. The mini is connected via ethernet to a DSL modem/router with a Static IP. The mini is controlled remotely by a G4 running 10.5.2 with Apple remote desktop 3.2. I am looking for digital signage software to set timers for various media formats. Preferably a web based solution so the sign can be updated from any browser.

Does anyone know about Digital Sign software that Apple wrote currently being used in a Vegas casino?.

You can download their latest version of their Solo (i.e. standalone) software from their web site that will allow you to manege your MacMini playlists via a web browser. You install the Solo software on the MacMini, configure the router to pass-thru web traffic to the Mini and then using a web browser, manage the player software and playlists on the MacMini from anywhere on the internet. The download has a basic manual and the software is quite straightforward to admin via a web browser. It runs any file the QuickTime can open.

New Mac Digital Signage software

You should also checkout NexGen DS. It's a all in one digital signage solution that incorporates scheduling, content creation and publishing all in one application. Definitely worth checking out for the promotional price of $399.

Trial or Demo?

Downloaded the 14 day trial of Nexgen-DS. Know anyone running this on an Apple TV?
