Hey guys am looking around to purchase a Digital Voice Recorder for school but i don't want to buy the Griffin attachment for the iPod Nano. Is there recorder like Olympus that is compatible with Mac and easy to transfer the lectures to iTunes. Thanks!

I have this

http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-WS-100-Digital-Recorder-Interface/dp/B0009N9PJA

It hooks up via usb and works perfectly as should any digital voice recorder that hooks up via usb

while it records in wma format, if you have flip4mac it will play just fine in quicktime-if you need to export to itunes or mp3, there is a free app callled switch that will convert it

get it here
http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html

as a college who uses this everyday during classes in larger rooms, find one with a larger capacity as you will need to record in higher quality to hear.

hope this helps

I need a recorder as well. Mac 'compatible' frustrates me so much. I don't want to d/l, convert, export and then email. I want to be able to d/l and email. Due to work, I'll miss a bunch of classes this year, but have a semi tech savy friend in my classes with me. She has agreed to record lectures/classes for me and I was hoping that without a lot of trouble she could email me the audio so I could listen to it on my iPhone while at work.
If it means d/l switch and VLC or WMP and doing conversions and stuff, it will be too much work to have her do every day.

Please help me find a Mac NATIVE recorder.
