Early Sept iPhones, watch, maybe iPads and late Sept (or early Oct) Macs would be welcome as the Macs are now quite overdue anyway…

I'm most likely upgrading this year from my 11 Pro so I look forward to at least the iPhone unveil event.

Why are people saying its a weird move to have multiple events?

Despite what people think, Apple want to get new products out there and they want to make as much money as possible. The sooner they can get stuff on sale, the better.

The iPhone is such a global phenomenon that nothing will overshadow that event. So if there's new Macs and other things ready to go, another event before or after that won't make any difference to the event or how many they're going to sell.

Of course, its DigiTimes, so it could all be nonsense, but I think it does make sense.
Agree...Time=Money

Highly unlikely. Only one event in a month. September will be about iPhones. Macbook in October/November

Maybe they are planning to drown the CSAM outrage using a barrage of project releases ;)

I hope they end with a cliffhanger: “There’s just one more thing… and you’ll find out next Tuesday!”
I bet you there’s a chance they will use “one more thing” after the iPhone announcement to show off the MacBook Pros, consolidating everything into one event.

I'm guessing iPhone will be a meh. I mean other than yet another iterative camera improvements, what else would iPhone 13 brings? Pro motion wouldn't mean much unless Apple brought in Apple Pencil support.
Apple Watch, maybe a redesign, but still, what other new thing would it bring?

The only thing left to be excited about would be the Apple Silicon Macs.

Could be the first time I’ve bought 3 Apple products in such a short period of time. iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro.

I haven't bought any Apple device in a long time (13" macbook in 2011 and an iPhone 6s in 2015). Likely will pick up both a 16" MBPro and iPhone 13 mini. Goodbye $$$ (probably will be like $3500 or more ugh). I do keep tech for a very long time though.

Apple is planning to hold multiple product events in September, rather than its strategy from last year to break up its fall product launches into three separate events split across September, October, and November, according to sources who spoke to DigiTimes.
That makes no marketing sense, as Apple has always used separate events across several months. I am reminded about all the guessing in June that they were going to have a special event shortly after WWDC, never happened.

It didn’t happen because of screen shortages.

This is Year 15 of the iPhone and it won’t be an earth-shattering update. There’s no need to devote an entire month to iPhones this year.
