DigiTimes: Apple's Travel Restrictions Could Delay iPhone 12 Launch Until October

Since I had no plans to buy a new phone this year, I'm fine with the delay. Maybe gives  time to sort out 5G better as well as iOS.

So first of all a lot of people saying this is stupid and blown out aren't reading the accounts of people in their 30s being hospitalized because their lungs are shredded. Does it happen often? No but that's not the flu. There are some serious compilations that can arise and still not alot of knowledge of why.

Second they delay the iPhone do we have to make extra payments on the upgrade program? The program is worth it because is 12 payments then you trade up. Not 13, 14, etc.

Yes, for like the umpteenth article, the ‘iPhone has the potential be delayed’. We get it.

The first paragraph ends with "claims a new report today from DigiTimes." That's why this article - it's not just MacRumors throwing together a new article out of thin air, they're reporting on (an admittedly small new scrap of) information. In essence they're reporting corroborating evidence for the ongoing rumor.

Normal people might hear "Apple may delay new iPhones" once, somewhere along the way in all the COVID reporting. We're not normal people - we come to this website to read every new scrap of available information about Apple. You can't really do that and then complain that they're showing you every new scrap of available information.

high ticket computers don't sell in a depression or recession

Horrible if true. The agony of waiting for iPhone 12 gets worse every day. My iPhone 11 Pro is already 4 months old. September release feels somewhat bearable, October would be torture and November excruciating.

After the iPhone 7 there was no 7S, but and 8 and a X. No 9. Then a XS (and Xr). Later an 11 (and a Pro... and a Pro Max), still no 9. So I think that sometime soon this whole naming cluster**** should be re-done.

Let's hope so.
