My source tells me that Apple is skipping the X55 and X60 modems and is instead using the QC X65 5G modems in the iPhone 12 Pro models. They are integrating the chip into the notch, which will make the notch approximately 1.5 times larger than on the iPhone X, XS and 11 models. They’re also ditching the 5.4” model and the sizes will instead be 6.1”, 6.5”, 6.7” and 7.1”.

I would be surprised if Apple have not asked Qualcomm for some bonus when making deal. Whether is it exclusive early access to X60 will show time. Power efficiency will be interesting for Apple for sure. I can not comment how much possible is to make it into iPhone 12 Pro as have no knowledge ;-)

To the question of usefulness then it is capacity of networks and probably can be important for Apple Glass communication.
