I’ve had zero issues with mine except for the most important one: they keep falling out of my ears ... all 3 sizes. Very frustrating.

A refresh already makes no sense.
I returned mine for this very reason. After 15-20 minutes of use each size would work their way at the edge of my ears and fall out.

Had to, phone calls were painful! The clicks and pops that occur when talking due to the microphone short circuiting was something I just could not take. And the rattles when listening to music, no way! It was like someone putting their fist right in my ear drum.. it hurt! Ended up getting refunded in full by Apple after proving to their in store associates that the firmware is causing issues. Not a chance I buy another airpod pro model until I see a brand new firmware release. Then I'll wait for some reviews before diving in again.

Wow, you must have had a defective pair of Pro's - mine exhibit none of those problems.

They will if you are on the latest firmware, which has since been pulled so you should be good. If you are on the defective firmware, you will see issues at some point. Apple is aware of these issues and they are firmware specific problems. Unfortunately they haven't updated the firmware and no update is in sight.

ANC does not work very well without a tight seal.

Yeah that’s the tough part, but perhaps Apple can further improve ANC to compensate for that. Wishful thinking probably, but personally I find the regular AirPods more comfortable despite the better overall all-around quality of the Pros. Excited to see what Apple has in store for over-the-ear.

Smells like fake news just like right after how they thought SE would release around the 1st week of April, but nah

I assume you received at least one replacement set of APPs. Never experienced any of these issues with my pair purchased in Dec.

the rumors are messed up because of naming. the AirPods Pro will not be updated until 2021. the question is will the regular AirPods be updated this year? Will there be an all new mid-level tier for AirPods that looks like the Pro but doesn't have active noise reduction? those are the open questions.

"... new entry level Airpod Pros..."
So, APP Lite as in without the noise cancellation features?

Better if Apple publicly acknowledged that its current APP firmware caused lots of issues to the existing APP, which are still relatively new, and spent more time in updating and releasing a firmware to correct the existing issues.

Appears that Apple is just creating products without spending much time in Quality Control (QC) before releasing the products into the public.
Lots of people still having iOS issues (still issues about decreasing battery life) and now APP noise cancellation issues.
What is Apple thinking or not thinking?

Am I misreading the article? It sounds like AirPods 3 soon, and AppleX headphones sometime this fall or possibly even a year from now. Bogus rumor of “AirPods Pro Lite” from, who else, DigiTimes.

Wait... are are the new 'pro lites' allegedly the sport model? Or are we talking a new pro lite AND sports model? I'm confused

shocker, more frequent releases of over priced ear buds than Macs. All of apples little crap products get more attention than the computer that began it all.
Yup it’s to nobody’s surprise that products that sell 300-350 million a year are updated a little more often than Macs that sell <4 million a year.

I believe there's a typo or a bad source...no way Apple is releasing new AirPods Pro this year...maybe late 2021? For sure they are releasing new AirPods.

Bad Source. Digitimes has a very sketchy track record, even though they have been right in the past, but there’s no factual truth to this article. It wouldn’t line up with Apple trajectory of AirPod releases, considering the ‘Pros‘ wouldn’t be updated every 12 months, more like every 18 months.

Jon Prosser has nailed all of his leaks and he says new Airpods are coming, but there is no way they will be 'Pros'.

Doesn’t the update update automatically?
