I just bought an APPLE TV. I have it on my home network of an iMac an iPad and iPhone. It is routed through my A/V receiver to my HD TV.

As I go through the on screen menus, as the cursor flies around the screen - there is a digitized robotic voice coming out of my speakers. It is almost like a narration of every button I push. It even reads out loud the movie description. It is a poorly designed synthesized voice which is loud and annoying. I have no idea where this came from or how to shut it off. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing before?

That's Apple's VoiceOver.
Turn it off in Settings>General>Accessibility.

Found it

Thanks,

I found it just before you posted your answer. If I was in need of that, I would be annoyed by the voice. It seems to be old school and not at all refined. Anyway, glad I got rid of it.
